go karting enduro races ... I'm sore

so today HADA and MCO co hosted an enduro race at formula Kart ways in Brampton...

the course was both the main course and the oval combined.

number of karts: 12

number of driver changes: 6

number of fuel stops: 2

number of laps on this larger circuit: 300

I was thjere with a team of 3 people .... 100 laps each... this was my first time at formula Kartways and must say they have a great facility.... my team got a pig of a Kart though and finished 8th overall... it was a blast... but I am sore now

it was a team effort ... 100 each ... 50 laps at a time .... my back is sore only near my left side shoulder blade...

rest of me in not sore...

karting is tough but the track was a 44 second track and there was only 12 cars ... this results in lots of room ... although the track is too narrow and there were too teams there that tought drifting through corners was suppose to be quick... a side ways kart blocks the whole track and you can't properly pass..... I rammed one good and there was another guy that went into a wall on the first few laps he was on the outside and slightly behind me and the track was narrowing and well all I heard was BOOM....

after 10 laps I was really sore because I was still learning the lines (having never been there) and I was fighting with the kart till I got to know it.... anyways 50 laps was fun .... the next 50 that was I was out there for was hell ... I had one of the "drifter" teams in front of me and driving through traffic wasn't fun ... I hit him a couple times but the dude never got the message that drifting just bogs the kart down....

anyways I have one more to do .... we'll see how it goes....

if you drift properly in karts you can get around the track faster.... thats how my severe weight dissadvantage helps me beat lighter guys... hahahaha i'm still packing on weight so i get into the heavy weight division for my series....

ohhh I agree proper wheel slip is ok ..... but when you get it 90 degrees to the track the tires are so sticky that the car pratically stop... the key to going fast in a kart is to keep up momentum....
