There are race tracks pretty much every 250km-ish or less apart starting from London all the way to Quebec. I think we have enough.

I have been stressing and debating this for years now. even if they made a track somewhere to the north like caladon where its country land so noise dont bother the public. If they did open a track close i bet street racing would vertually die out edventually. But than again theres a lot of people who live for street racing and just do it for the thrill.

Why not? Too far? I am not gonna say that some people don't mind the distance because everyone is different. If you haven't made the effort to visit the closest track/drag strip to your house because it is too far, then your passion for motorsport has a cap on it.

If you visit the drag strip on a weekly bases, or do so at every major event, perhaps, you have earned the right to complain the distance and even so, if you have such a high interest rate in motorsport and have committed yourself to it this often, then you wouldn't have complained in the first place.

That's my view on this "having a track closer in GTA to resolve the [street racing] issue".

Organized street racing is underground gambling and the sense to live off the edge, being an outlaw. They will never go to the track and settle their race. Then you have your amateur heavy-footer who loves to tap their throttle whenever they get a chance in a straight line, they aren't gonna pay to do it in a limited 1/4 mile distance when they can do it anywhere, anytime.

Race track is for people who are dedicated to motorsport with a passion. Not for someone to go because it is closer to home. With the pollution, it actually sucks to live near one.

It is not a shopping mall.

agreed, there are enough tracks. ppl who track their cars won't mind the slight drive. the passion for racing is strong.

Actually I do make the drive to cayuga and I dont feel that street racing will stop just because there is a drag strip near by. It was just my opinion that they should build a track in the gta, you people just write comments just to disagree.

I don't write comments for the sake of disagreement, that would be useless and waste of time, and a waste of your time to read it.

But I haven't seen much reasoning behind your statement, or support, just because you think they should build one in GTA, but why? You certainly haven't answered that.

You and I both agree that having one extra race track in GTA won't have any affection on street racing. So, why build another to increase more pollution?

this is a discussion
people have their comments

would u want to live near a drag strip?
No i don't think so so what makes you think for your convenience of driving less to Cayuga , someone else has to suffer piece and quiet so you can drive less to somewhere else and drag your car.

Also have to agree, street racing is street racing,
You see someone lined up at the lights, if you street race your going to try to feed it to them, you won't roll down the window and be like ' hey you want to race over at so and so drag strip'

Also opening up a strip closer to GTA means more $$$
which means your $20 dollars all you can drag all day will become more like $40 dollars

Average home in GTA is 300,000 dollars. Imagine the square footage of a drag strip and its buffer zone (vegetation, land mass, green space, parking).

It is gonna be one expensive drag strip.
