02 CR-V vs 93 CIVIC

Which car do you think would win in a 1/4 mile. If you have any flames than you are not welcome to post. Are SUV even allowed on the drag strip at St. Thomas or Cayuga?

Anyways

2002 CR-V
Completely Stock (Maybe an SRI)
Weight is stock (Table, Spare Tire, Seats)
Edit: 3287 lbs

Engine Specs.
K24 i-VTEC Engine
2.4 Litres DOHC
160 HP @ 6000 RPM
162 LBS/FT TORQUE @ 3200 RPM
Automatic

OEM TIRES, Alloy Wheels, No Addtional Weight (No Roof Rack, Brush Bar)
I think I know how to launch on Automatic... will 4WD help?

vs

1993 Civic CX
Manual Transmission
Edit: Completely Stock Except CAI

How much does the CRV weigh? But i think the 4wd will help and the torque will too. THe CX has what, 102 HP if im correct. I think you would win. Depending on the driver.

Automatic, much there to learn, just step on it and hope to win

But I think I know how to launch, and I have pretty good reaction.

why do you keep posting the same bullshit.

If you are planning on racing your DADDY'S Car don't forget to add the weight of both you and your father. Mr G1

you do understand that a CX has 102 HP.

get a freaken life and at the same time get your G2

I love Ignore List... I didnt make you read it.

Why you discussing HP, its the amount of torque that propels an object.

For a kid who thinks that 'ClubSi is way more relaxed and cooler', you sure do post a lot of crap here.

If you want an answer to this, go figure it out. You're wanting to go into engineering, start problem solving. Figure out the power to weight ratio of the two vehicles in question, figure out the quarter mile time they would run, and you're done.

very true. It also depends on how many air freshners there are in both cars, that will also effect the car's time on the track. 1 less freshner will knock half a second on your quarter mile time. So you better watch out you don't overweigh your car with freshners.

you are correct AzimuthX torque does help move an object however rpm is also important in this ....with my gear ratios and the fact that my red line is higher then yours (plus the fact I have a manual tranny) I should be able to beat you....see a gearbox being driven by a engine at 6500 rpm is going to spin the tires faster then a gear box being spun by an engine at 4000 rpm...

also as a side note lots of people from here read over boards you might not want to rub people the wrong way consider your posts next time

You just can't drop the freshner post, it was an example anything you do can void your insurance without notification. What part of my statement do you not understand?

If Bblabuo said pedal to the metal is the way to go, than should'nt the car be able to pass 4000 rpm and engaging i-VTEC?

Hi and welcome to THE TORONTO CIVICS CLUB.

if you dont want to get flamed then dont post bullshit.
1. your not taking the damn crv to the track anyway
2. you dont have a licence

you need to stop trying to talk down to people in your threads b/c your some smart *** teenager. thats great that you want to learn and one day be a civic enthusiast but you should show some respect to others and they wont come down on you. making comments about this club on other sites is not cool either, you dont think that half the people on here post there as well??

Just because I'm posting doesn't mean there won't be a licensed driver driving it. So what if its a Toronto Civic Forum. Does the owner say "NO FOREIGN CAR OWNERS ALLOWED" as a disclaimer on the register page, no so shut hte **** up. Now I know why Ken doesn't even want to bother coming back here. Theres only a few that are cool (Si Veloz, bblarbou, Pulovr, Roy) and who ever made the statement " this is like a family board ". You definately need to review that statement, any post I make I get hammed wheather or not regarding a different vehicle. Some guy ask can Insurancy Policy void your contract for modifying it, WHAT ARE YOU DOING BY PLACING AN AIR FRESHNER IN THE VEHICLE? Obviously they can deny the contract, yet I get flamed. This is ****, I will leave one day when I can't take it anymore. I'll see you on the track this year. What have I learned from this, minimal. Probably the only thing useful

Roy - Headlight Information
Pulovr - Electrical / Lighting Information
Bblarbou - How to drive stick, maintenace, a lot...

At least on ClubSi, there will be more information to learn because of problems people post with people willing to help them.

Peace out

Dude,
seriously, the only reason you get flamed is because you talk crap sometimes. not because you're 15, and talk like you own your dad's CR-V. Really, you have to look at what you say, and then realise why you get flamed. I'm glad you have your fav's on the board. Maybe you should get daddy to drop you off at a wednesday meet, and we'd think differently of you...

ok first off, the only reason you get flamed is because of your stupid ignorant comments you make. Many of your posts are stupid and useless and your always trying to put down others especially when you have more knowledge than them, for example when labatia needed help in chit chat. You act quite immature sometimes but I guess it's expected, your a 15 year old punk. I made a thread about modifications to a vehicle. I asked if anyone had any similar situations than my friend. All I wanted was some help on the topic not stupid immature comments like this "Even Air Freshners because what if someone is allergic, sneeze, and loses attention for 1 second than it crashes into another car." What the **** kind of comment is that, your just bashing my thread and making yourself look like a complete moron. That was the second stupid comment you made in my thread, I ignored the first one and I had to say something about the second one.
When your cutting up this club on other boards you effect every member on here.
Show respect to others on the board and you shall receive respect in return.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Excellent post!!!

BTW: If you AzimuthX think you can find an SiR for 14g's then go ahead and find one. I didnt ask you what you can get for 14. I am trying to sell a car on a public forum. Go get a life and post on ClubSi.Afterall 'ClubSi is way more relaxed and cooler' right? First get a license, then talk about racing.

all of your posts revolve around your FATHER'S "allmighty crv" and how great it is, and how the crv is the best vehicle out there

dude.... GROW UP

get a liscence..... then think about getting a car.....

AND STOP TALKING ****!

ill be straight up with you....... you're an immature punk *** kid who thinks he knows evertything...

i didnt have a problem with you until your little outburst in labatia's post......

i quote " dude! how old are you the resevoir is over there, everyone should know that............or something along those lines "

this coming from a 15 yearold dick who cant even drive the glorious crv without his dad beside him...

you wanna "race" suv's? my dads trailblazer will RAPE your crv.....and if you wants seconds..... my mom's STS can cleanup........ oh wait! i worked for 3 years to save enough $$ to buy MY OWN car..... i dont need to race immature punks in mommy or daddys car

you CANNOT expect people to treat you with dignity & show you respect when all you do is talk ****....
