WHat would you pay for this setup?
I know a guy that's a bit strapped for cash and has offered the following to me. I'm just not sure if it's a good deal.
2001 B18C96 spec R with 30,000km
Forged pistons
HKS injector: 534 cc x 4
210L + fuel pump
HKS Intercooler.
HKS oil cooler
Comes with a few other toys like F-conV pro (professional silver) & Vpro for DC2 intermediate pressure sensor and harness DC2R96 for computer ? I'm not to sure of the other stuff at moment he said he'll make a list for me tomorrow. Also said it dyno around 350HP.
He said he has 9 to 10k into it. Since it's me and he's a bit hurtin for the $$
he could sell it to me for $6000. I would think it's a decent deal, however I would to run it by some other people first. Should I try and talk him down a bit $$ wise?

Most B18C ITR motors I've seen run $4,500 to $5,500 CND. It makes around 195hp, stock.
I don't know too much on the cost of turbo's. What turbo does it have? I didn't see it in the setup. If the car is hitting 350hp, and you mentioned that it has an intercooler, it must have a turbo. I know that if you turbo a ITR motor, you have to lower the compression. As the cost is almost the cost of the stock motor, and it looks like a lot has been done with it, to me it sounds like a good deal.
FYI, I know that a lot of insurance companies will not insure your car if you have a turbo. If you buy the car, you may want it keep on the DL with your insurance company.

So far everything checks out ok. Still debating... money is tight. I might be incline to buy it just to pass on the deal to tcc paid members. The most profit I would make *might* cover a coffee or two from TH.
My friend said it puts down 302hp at 0.7kg/m
