turboing my civic, best ECU/fuel managment?
hey guys, im boosting my civic soon and im stuck on what i should do for ECU, i was thinking of getting a laptop and using Crome?
New fuel pump and bigger injectors, but im still deciding what to do, anyone whos boosted there d-series whats the best route taking?

well if you don't already have a laptop, it seems a waste to spend almost a grand just for the laptop alone.
there are really only 3 methods: piggyback (AFC), chipped ECU with custom maps, or standalone.
I ran Hondata when my car was turbo'd, but it's really the same thing as a tuned chip from say zeeman (tuned on Neptune). Jon Cui's CROME is a good alternative as well.
AEM EMS and other standalones (Motec for example) are complicated to set up and prolly too much tuning ability for your needs.
I'd recommend just a wideband O2 and a nice chip, if you need adjustments later on, another chip is really pretty cheap compared to spending money on a laptop and EPROM burner.
