^^I'll look into it for you. Someone else here may be able to give you a quicker answer, but I'll need to look at the compressor maps for each and do a little research before I can give you proper feed back.

What motor do you have and what all have to you done to it? Fuel pump, injectors, etc...?

Also we can't tell you how much exact power you will make with each turbo. It's different in every build, depends on how well it's tuned, the condition of your engine and other components used.

The engine is a built D series.

Vitara
h beam rods (low comp)

all necessary supporting mods will be done to support a turbo kit.
550cc injectors.

Nice. Sounds like it's ready to go. Your goal of 280-300 should be easily met with that setup.

I recommend a turbo with a smaller exhaust turbine and larger compressor for quick spooling and good top-end power. (t3/t4 combo)

The disco potato turbo is an excellent, well-rounded unit. Should put you right in the pocket of your goal, imo. I've seen these turbos on many builds from mild to wild.

Just keep in mind, at some point, there will be a trade off for spool time and top-end power. The 60 trim t3 turbo we have on our 1.6L MR2 doesn't build full boost until 4k rpm, but above that, all hell breaks loose! lol.

Also, "lag" is the time it takes for the turbo to spool when your are IN the turbo's efficiency rpm/range, not below it. When you are below it's efficiency range, it's just simply that. Not lag.

If you want to make big power with a turbo, you will have to sacrifice low-end as the efficiency range of the bigger turbos is generally in the higher rpm's of your engine. Unless you want to shell out the dough for a variable geometry or twin scroll turbo...
