hi...just wondering, i bought a tune from someone and i am buying the turbo he had on it brand new....he had used an external wastegate and i was thinking of using a internal one because my manifold doeasnt have that port for the external...let me know if any1 has done this...thanks...or a place that can machine a spot for my wastegate on a cast iron manifold

what do you mean "I bought a tune from someone"?

Its extremely important on a turbo setup to get the car tuned by someone and not just using someone else's tune and building your setup to be like it. Every car is different, every set of injectors is different and every car will require some, at least minor, tweaks from every other car out there, even if the setup is practically identical.

Now if you asked "will switching from an internally gated setup to external gate change my tune" I'd say prolly not, but it could.

About making provisions for an external gate on a cast iron manifold, i'm not sure about that one, you'd have to ask aaron (weiRtech) if it can be done, b/c he'd know for sure.
