^^ ditto.
Best motor to boost is d16z6 or d15b.
Plus for the d16s you have the aftermarket support for internals IF you were to build it.

d17 has internals as well but its retarded to build one if you already dont have one.

How do you figure this? Thats the most vague statement ever.

Unless your boosted single cam is running high 12's to flat 13's in the quarter, dont expect to beat many stock late model Mustangs, Camaros or Trans-Ams..and forget about Vettes.

Boosted B18B is the best bang for your buck. It will make more power than a B18c5 and cost less than a full proper c5 swap would.

so was the question. And a 12-13 second boosted civic isn't hard to make provided you get traction.

From a stand still the v8 a have the upper hand but any kind of rolling start it I would put my money on the jap scrap.

Don't get me wrong tho it has to be done right. No eBay kits are going to put you infront of a high hp 8.

This can go on forever tho. Put 5g's in a civic to make it fast, put 5g's in a mustang and of will rip your girlfriends panties off. And for the record I ate a stock vette on the highway with a t3 57 trim on a base map. So it can be done.

Sure it can go either way but just as you said it has to be done properly which MOST people "on a budget" dont do. Half of this site is comprised of people like that.

And im sure that old vette you beat was pissed off he got smoked

I smoked a C5 Z06 on a highway roll with just a simple cam swap, so I know it can be done...but I was in my Camaro

Also be careful what you wish for on a highway roll...the LSx cars are highway monsters

Oh i know i seen a monsters.

One time i was heading to ottawa to strip down the talon and i found my self in the middle of a mustang club, looked like they were in some sort of cannon ball run because they were flying. Biggest **** off was i was only running 2 psi because my car still isnt tuned for the new t25 i put on. lol oh well my highways runs are over with this little guy, but on a track it should be fun......****ing work i should be driving right now.
