I'm going to have to replace my alternator , the motor is a dohc zc which alternator do I go with? And how much should I expect to pay for the parts and labour.

You can save your self some money by going to parts source or crappytire and getting an alternator there and replacing it yourself. Then take the dead alt back to the store you got the new one from and they should give you back a few bucks.

As for having a shop do it, I'm not sure how much they charge.

probably 2.0hrs labour.. and around 150-250 for the alternator. so 400-500$ job i'd say.
