Stripped Valve Cover Bolts

basicly they snapped from whoever removed this engine i was dropping in. Im basicly done my engine swap and now i cant get the valve cover properly on, they are stuck inside the head and i was wondering if theres any way to get around this other then drilling, if i have to ill resort to drilling but i dont want to with the possibilitys of pieces ending up in the engine or other things like that. let me know if you have any ideas, thanks

its seriously completely flush with the cam caps?

You can get a very small punch, indent the head and try to knock it loose. I have done this on quite a few broken bolts... but none that small.

they probably broke off due to hydraulic lock inside the bolt holes, you should be able to knock them loose with a small punch, if that does not work you will have to drill them out use a small dab of grease on the bolt to eliminate metal shavings in the head

^^yeah grease will trap most of the shavings. I've never had to drill out a bolt in a head since I dont over tighten stuff :P, but if i ever had to I would use grease then probably a blow gun to blow everything out afterwards
