Go to CT and get the Haynes book. About $20 and will tell you everything.

By the auto counter at Canadian Tire. I believe the cover is green with the picture of a white eg 4 door.

Book helped out a lot.

if you still didnt get the book you can download it here.
http://hondatech.info/downloads/Auto/Manuals/Civic/
it gets quite annoying because the pdf is really big, also if you have a laptop it will be much easier. also you can just print off the pages you need.

You have to take out your driver side axle. Stupid design!

05CivicSi 08-Dec-2008 04:42 PM

You can get it out the top of the motor. I didnt see it done but thats how it was done on my car (92 4 door).

I changed mine in my 93 civic si, without removing any axle......... it's like fitting a piece to a puzzle........gotta get the alternator to fit, keep turning;)

He is right, I did it on my friends 93 coupe, didn't have to move anything you can get it to squeeze through

guess the price went up a bit, you will probably save that much in parts you would have broken if you did not have the book.
