Cool Help new civic owner

Hey guys, Im pretty much a noob so be kind,
just picked a 94 civix ex 4 dr. This was planned to be my daily driver in the winter, but I noticed the car has basically no pick up at all. I can floor the gas pedal and pratically no difference in pick up.

My question is which mods should I do BESIDES an engine swap that would help me with this problem.

Thanks in advance

Honestly there is not much you can do to make your car have any more pickup. At least nothing worth while..

First of all if it's automatic, then you are really **** out of luck.. Learn to drive according to your car's abilities.. That means no more overtaking people, you always merge behind, cuz you can redline that thing and it still seems like it's standing still.

I had a 92 LX Auto 4dr beater and my god it was horrible on the highway.. I mean once it got to the speed it needed be at, it was great.. Getting there was the issue.

When you say pickup though, do you mean at any speed? because I mean from 0-60KPH it was more than fine.. 80+ is where it was gutless. Just want to make sure that you don't have something wrong with the car and you're trying to fix it with mods.

yes it is automatic, so I concede to be @#$@$%
You brought up some good point regarding having to ajust my existing driving habits, thanks for the advice - aprreciate it
