Help! Car broke down

OK here's what happened, I was pushing my car hard on the QEW, I was redlining for every gear 9000rpm (except 5th) on my ITR motor. I noticed there was a lost of power when the stepped on the gas pedal the car didn't speed up as fast after driving a while. I was lining up going down the ramp to make a left turn, I noticed from idle the car was VIBRATING VERY HEAVILY, the whole car was shaking like the engine was choking on something. As I slowly accelerated the car sounded like a WRX, very raspy.

Arrived at downtown, I parked my car in the lot for 3 hrs. Got back into my car after my business, everything was ok, car still sounded like a WRX though. I got on to the DVP, ALL OF OF A SUDDEN THE CAR WAS DECELERATING, the car went PUTTTT PUTT PUTTT PUTTTT PUTTT PUTTTT and the car died. I smelt something burning from the car. As I tried to turn the engine on, it only cranks and doesn't start up.

What do you guys think is the problem here? For sure I know it ain't the timing belt because when I cranked it the camshafts were moving.

PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE FELLOW MEMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!

i am not too good with mechanic, but i had a similiar issue with my car when i was pushing my car hard, my car lost the performance and it sounded like wrx, and what i figured out, that out of 6 cylinder only 4 of them are getting sparks, cus my car is v6, so one of my coil pack was gone. when car is cold or after couple of hours if you start the car it will sound like normal but as ill drive for little it will start losing the power again and my car was not starting for while as well but i left for couple of hours and it start up again but since i was already on the road and couldnt able to stop it blew my other coil as well and thats y my car was running on 2 spark plugs and thats y it was not getting enough power to keep the engine run ... so this might be the issue with you as well ... see if you can start the car 1st, 2nd thing if you successful with it, leave the car running until its start acting up, then each by each start removing your spark plug cable from your spark plug, as soon you takes out your 1st spark plug cable and you dont feel no difference in engine performance than thats mean that is the faulty one, couple be spark plug/cable or coil pack ... i might be wrong but i am not driving honda at this moment but good luck

The way you said it sounded like is you lost a cylinder and your on 3 cylinders. I think you broke a valve like i did but it seems you kept driving it the way it was and died and couldve damage more than a broken valve.

When the exact same symptoms happened to me i was just driving down doing 60 in ajax just around the corner from my house when it happened. I took the head out and all that was damage was a broken exhaust valve. I checked everything else and it was fine and i than i checked my catalytic converter and the piece that broke is on the cat.

The redline in fourth in an ITR motor with an ITR tranny is around 200km/hr and not 160-170 km.

It's a JDM B18C ITR motor, its redlines at 9000k.

wow i mean all these people are poopin' on the thread, dude if you guys have nothing better to say don't say anything. I'm not hating here but seriously some comments are not necessary. I'm just trying to find some light to my problem.

Thanks.

Thanks for sharing, I think the same that it could be the cyclinder, I just hope the damage isn't THAT expensive.

Take out your spark plugs and have a look inside the cylinders...
Take off your Valve cover, check timing line up, or a sleeve moved or some sort of damage indication.

I agree about the nah say'ers... We know he phukked up, he know's he phukked... Stupidy is its own punishment.

I have a B18C ITR too, and it revs way past 8000RPM, though I dont abuse mine lol 4000-5000RPM shifts. Occassional 6500-7000 When enjoying passing a car.

.... Aren't those B18C Fun!
