Is there a CEL?
Check and make sure all ignition wires are on properly. Check the condition of the dizzy cap and rotor (the posts inside the cap and tip of the rotor).
Could also be glogged fuel filter, bad injector(s), dying fuel pump, main relay...

Throttle Position Sensor
If it's an intermittent problem, it's gonna be hard to diagnose. If you're like me, my cars always behave perfectly when it actually comes down to me opening the hood and trying to find the problem. LOL. I'd say find a used one or something or take one out of a car that works and install it in yours and drive around a bit. Realistically not the best suggestion but, we all have mechanics we trust and/or have personal relationships with so I'm sure you can find one to try.
