d16y8 and d15z1 head
so this is abit of a noobish question but since i didnt see a noob section im rebuilding my d16y8 and i found that the d15z1 head would boost up the compression like crazy and im wondering how many people have used this setup if its possible and any other info would be great

The d15z1 is vtec-e head. As i recall it only has 2 cam lobes per cylinder vs the d16y8 which has 3. The vtec-e motors were designed to be more gas efficient rather than performance in mind. So if you want to raise compression or gain more power, keep the y8 head and get some new pistons.
