yea i'll still need to get some things forsure. i read about porting the y8 oil pump a bit, but would i just be better off getting a z6 pump?
There is a lot done to this engine, here is the list: I'll start from the bottom up
Oil pan polished, 1/2npt oil drain port welded on
crank girdle has been shaved/notched for clearancing of the larger rod bolts
crankshaft is all standard journal sizes micropolished and balanced
Scat H-beam rods balanced
JE SRP 9:1 dished turbo pistons balanced (rotating assembly was balanced by bischoffs out in indiana.)
JE SRP nitrous/ turbo rings gapped for 20 psi and 100 shot of nitrous according to what JE recommended.
Now to the block itself:
cylinders are all stock bore and have been refinished with a ceramicoat and a fine hone.
bottom of the cylinder walls have been notched for clearancing of the larger h-beam rods
Golden eagle block guard installed by bischoffs
block surface decked by bischoffs
ARP head studs
Now to the head:
new guides
Full port and polish, ports matched to gaskets, bowls opened up all casting marks ground smooth, combustion chambers polished to a mirror finish, bottom of seats blended, etc.
Seats cut on a serdi seat guide machine, competition 3-angle valve job.
resurfaced
Crower Stage 3 race cam
Crower springs and titanium retainers
SBI High performance oversized valves. 1.0 mm on the intake, 0.5 mm on the exhaust
AEM Tru Time cam gear.
Thats about it. Motor is currently sitting assembled in long block form. The rotating assembly was built to support 600hp, my goals with it were aroung 400hp. If you were to sleeve the block then you could daily drive it with 600hp. The range on the cam is 1000rpm to 8000+rpm.

I don't think you can use the z6 pump (not 100% though). The d16y8 has the oil dip stick hole in the oil pump, the z6 has the dipstick hole (tube) in the front of the block (not in the oil pump).
So theres probably a big gap on the rings (for high boost/WHP).
What kind of main/rod bearings? OEM? ACL? King? Clevite?
Price?

yea actually i just read that it would block the oil dip stick, so i think i may try and do the porting of the y8 pump.
ACL bearings
and i'll be paying the most $3400cdn depending on the dollar
