Car won't start, please help

Car won't start, please help
Hi all
My mom C320 just won't start today. please provide some insight.
1) key in, lights are on (not dim at all), fans are on
2) try jump start car, not working
3) try disconnect negative cable for a while hoping to reset some electrical stuff don't work
4) no engine cranking noise at all.
? starter ? any other issue should be at fault?
any help would be great.

Thanks for the replies....we tried to jump it again....this time it work. There is a special +ve jumping terminal for Benz, we tried jumping from that couple times before...didn't work. So we tried to jump it directly from the battery....it work this time.
