Hi All,

Currently driving a 2003 Civic LX (Canada)

My CEL came on and when I checked the codes. P0340 - Camshaft Position Sensor - No Signal. Can someone please tell me where this sensor is located? Is it an easy do it yourself job? Pictures or a diagram would be great as I am not having any luck searching online.\

It's an internal distributor sensor. It is a non-serviceable sensor, as it is hard-wired to the distributor harness.

My recommendation would be to replace the whole distributor assembly.

I might be missing something but this car has ignition coils. No distributor. But for arguements sake, do you know the part number of the part that I need?

Oh, my bad! I read 1993. On 2003 models I believe the cam sensor is located behind the upper timing cover. You must remove the valve cover first, then the upper valve cover to fully access it.

Job done. I found a thread on civicforum that had a full write up with pics. Job took about one hour.
