b18a1?

Hey everyone,
I have a quick question, I have to opportunity to get a b18a1 and I was thinking of putting it in my 92 eg. I want to do a swap but I want something that will leave me with the most room for improvements/options. Is the b18a1 a good motor for tuning? or should I be looking for a b16? I don't have a lot of money but I would like something as a project that I can work on but I'm having a hard time choosing a block! Please help me out with some advice!
Thanks in advance,
Jamie

that engine is older than dirt. why even waste your time?

not to mention, if you don't have a lot of money, a car is the wrong place to spend it.

its the wrong place to spend it unless its maintenance and even then sometimes that gets out of hand and you have to question whether its worth fixing or just spending some bread and getting a newer car

yeah ive spent so much on things to keep the car from falling apart so i dont ffeel like getting rid of it yet ive only had it for 5 or 6 months and the guy before me treated it like ****, i had to change balljoints, shafts, manifolde had a crack in it then i bought a used one with 2 of hte bolts broken so it was leaking between the front pipe and the manifold, much more!!!

slowly geting things fixed as i go along

ok thanks guys....I guess I should have rephrased that then....I dont have a lot of money to spend upfront ie: I want to slowly build an engine but I'm not sure with what block to start with. That is where I need some help....as I mentioned...which block would leave me with the most promise for performance? Aside from the obvious gsr or type r.
Thanks guys!
Jamie

you could get a newer b18b from a newer integra or a b20 from a crv...then build turbo kits around these motors or just leave them stock for a little more torque under your toes

Thanks! Is the b20 a good motor though? cause my dad has a crv and its got no *****...anyways I heard that you can put a b18 head on a b20 or something like that to gain compression and hp's is that true? Is there a lot you can do with a b20 cause if so I will pick one up cause they are a lot cheaper than b18's and b16's! Anyways let me know! Any input would be a huge help!
Thanks,
Jamie
