b18 issue
 

I have a b18c5 and today the vtec stopped kicking in, and it also seems there is power loss close to 8000rpms. Does anyone know what this could be? thank you for your help.

well if vtec stopped working i bet the power loss starts before 8000rpms.

Check your oil level, could be low.

Is the check engine light on?

Check to make sure the vtec solenoid and vtec oil pressure switch are plugged in correctly.

low coolant low oil, faulty wiring, plugged screen.

yeah engine check light is on, I put some more oil in because it was low but its still the same.. maybe a little better.

what code are you getting?

I'm gunna guess either code 21 or code 22.
