1995 honda civic lx engine problem

Hey ladies and gentlemen i was just wondering if anyone knows what is going on with my car it would be greatly appreciated kuz im really frustrated at this point. my car wasn't starting for a bit so i took it to a garage and he told me my dash fuse box was burned out so after replacing that the car still did not start. then i replaced the distributor and it still wouldn't start. so after alot of searching and head scratching we found that the whole belt and the wheels the belts sits on wabbles a bit so the mechanic tried to time the engine it started and now its not picking up speed like it use too. not a lot of power on 1st so it takes me a while to get the car going to like 10km/h. help needed badly thanks.

Was the timing done properly?

This post is very hard to understand. But it sounds like your timing belt jumped a tooth or something. I would suggest bringing it to another mechanic who knows what he's doing. Who gives back a car like that? I bet he didn't even jump the service connector when setting timing

yeah it doesn't sound like your mechanic knows a whole lot. when you're paying for someone to do work for you, the car should come back working. i agree with the slipped timing belt, it's a classic case. it could also be a broken camshaft, but that's really really rare and usually a result of a bad mechanic doing the timing belt.

yea i know but i was at the second garage kuz the first guy wasnt very helpfull he dint even move my car in the shop so i moved it to the second garage n got that mechanic to work on it. I was watching him take off the belt and pully system and he couldn't get one bolt out which was the main pully the big one (not sure wat its called) so he was using the impact gun and it still wouldn't come out then he torched it red and it still dint come out. then he said he'll call it a day. so lets say my camshaft is messed up is my engine gone or can i replace that? and how do i know if the timing was done properly 05civicsi?

thanks alot for the help tho guys
thank you thank you

He had the crank pulley bolt red hot and it wouldn't budge? He must have a weak sos impact.

You shouldn't really heat that bolt/pulley system up in the first place.

maybe but the next day i went back he showed me the thread and it was all messd up all shreded and **** and told me i need a new engine. also told me my crank shaft is in such condition my only option was to buy a new engine

DUDE theres special tools to remove the crank pully...clearly they were not used i would defintily look in to the shop paying for a new engine since they clearly over heated the bolt warping the crankshaft i work at honda dude...trust me when i say ur getting ****ed...

I wouldn't listen to this guy.. They didn't wreck anything. If anything, they may of melted the timing cover a bit, then I'd ask them to replace it.

And there is a special tool to hold the crank, but its not necessary when you have an impact gun.
