What is the most effective way to remove tint on my own??

What is the most effective way to remove tint on my own??

as the title asks.... what is really the best way to remove old bubbled up tint? is there something i can spray to loosen up the adhesive? or is it just straight up taken off with a blade?? please post your suggestions here.. thanks!

hey roshan you bring a exacto blade (like a coke blade not a box cutter..pardon the analagy) and we will get your tint off tonight.

You don't need an exacto knife to remove the tings. I just did mine. Grab a heat gun (blow dryer if you don't have a heat gun) and heat up a corner. Pick at it with your fingernail until you get a lip you can pull from. THen just peel off while applying constant hot air to the tint as you go. Mine took about 30 min for the entire car. Mind you with a heat gun. Come to the meet tonight, I could probably do it for you.

dreamr - not to diss your method at all. I'm just going by what I experienced. For all I know yours could be way better than mine. I'm there to help is all. The more the better.

when i did mine on my car i used a exacto blade and windex. it worked great.

A steamer or decent heat gun usually works like a charm.
On your rear glass, blades etc. can damage the defroster element if you slip or loose focus for a moment.

might be a dead thread but...on a hot day soak the inside of the glass with windex with ammonia in it seal it off with a plastic bag and wait ...the windex will soak into the tint with there no where else for it to go 25 min later the tint will peel off with no annoying glue on the window.
