which guy
I've heard of 1 stage paint and 2 stage paint processes.
1 stage paint, is just the painting of the colour on a car.
This is usually found on factory white cars, which is why you sometimes pay a little less for white cars from the dealership.
(sometimes red)
2 stage paint is colour + clear coat.
Clear coat is pretty essential to preserving colour and to prevent fading. especially on any aftermarket paint work.
Also important the number of stages in a specific paint process, the number of coats is important.
Enough to have strength, but not so many layers that if you take a stone chip it takes off a piece of paint the size of a loonie.
Hope that helps

4 years no accidents. Deliver enogh pizzas. And I dont knock on wood.
The macco paint job was ok, it wasnt that bad. The body work they did was actually allright. But the paint job had orage peel in show lights and looked unperfessional. It reflection was distorted. For a show car it was ****. Anything else it was ok.
