what does aftermarket wire harness do?
what does aftermarket wire harness do? send more power to the headlight bulbs?

I think you may be talking about a OBDII-to-OBDI harness...do a search online.

From what I know is that the aftermarket harnesses are built to handle more current flow to the headlights. This way you can install true higher wattage bulbs like 80/100 watt and not melt the OE wiring. Cause if the OE bulbs are rated at 50/65 watts, then you can be damned sure that Honda would save millions by installing wiring that's built to handle only that wattage.

Higher wattage = more current = more heat = melting OE wiring...

someone correct me if i'm wrong

i think Sam is correct....i have a similar wiring harness that came with my projectors. send ryanhook a pm, he's the resident TCC know it all....he's especially familiar with headlights.
