I have a 1998 Civic Si coupe. I have a type R front lip for it and would like to get a type R rear lip to round things out. My question is will a 99-00 rear lip work on my 96-98. I have seen some sites that sell them listed as 1996-2000 and others that are 1996-1998 and 1999-2000. Just want to clearify before I end up with something I can't use. I assume that I need a lip for a none HB aswell. Is that right or wrong.

Also, if someone has a rear type R lip that will work for me that would be great. Looking for one that isn't painted just the regular flat black colour plastic.

I always thought the rears were the same. I just checked out option JDM's site and they have them listed seperately. But I know for sure the HB one won't work.

the rears are the same. but true the HB one will not fit.

96-98 stock bumper has a flat lip to them, and the 99-00 have a curled out lip so the fittment is slightly different

the oem rear lips from 96-98 and 99 - 00 are differet...the 96-98 is discontinued and pretty rare.. they fit better with their year's bumpers as they are slightly different but im pretty sure they can be easily modded to fit the other

although that is true... I was stating more in the oem purist fashion. Of course who am I to say, I gunmetaled my lights and added Eyebrows to my EK.
