if Meguiars wasn't A1 i wouldn't have accepted their sponsorship..

Tego 08-Feb-2005 03:36 PM

Yeah its worth it, I applied it right before I stored my car and it looks amazing to this day.

bbarbulo 08-Feb-2005 03:59 PM

Meguiars is all I use on my car.

lordm 08-Feb-2005 04:16 PM

i as well am sponsored by them

98siG 08-Feb-2005 07:58 PM

i use meguiars too but i've never tried tech wax
and i was wondering what is good to remove swirl marks (like compounds etc. with a buffer)
im thinking about getting the simoniz buffer from crappy tire what do u guys think???

you try using scratch X for fine swirl marks.
here this is from the site

ScratchX is the most effective way to remove fine scratches and swirls from automotive paint by hand. This product is guaranteed to deliver the finest results possible by hand (some scratches require removal by machine applied professional formulas). ScratchX removes surface contaminants, oxidation and blemishes as well as enhances paint color. Unlike many paint correction formulas on the market, ScratchX will not leave more scratches than it takes out. It's ideal for use as a quick touch up or to revive a car's entire finish.

now this is a preparation product. your best bet would be is to go to there site for paint car and product lists witch has a description and MSRP on the product and that should help.

or u can use swirl remover 2.0 from the mirror glaze line...

it works like a chamr....

Whiplash 08-Feb-2005 08:55 PM

i use to use something else 'til Meguiar's came out with the tech line..
it was the convincer for me to change, and hella cheaper too!!
it has polymers!!

98siG 08-Feb-2005 10:54 PM

so i guess im gonna go with the scratch x and a buffer
so i would use scratch-x then wax????

imported_95bluelx 09-Feb-2005 01:12 AM

I'd be careful with that simoniz buffer thoughm they sometimes do more harm than good, try it by hand

Whiplash 09-Feb-2005 04:27 AM

try the wax first on it's own in a small area..
see what results it gives you..
go to something else only if you need to as it sounds like you're personally venturing into unknown territory

98siG 13-Feb-2005 04:17 AM

my car is black so the swirl marks are more visible
i bought tech wax and scratch x
im gonna try it by hand
in a few weeks when the weather is warmer
thanks for your help guys
