Switchback Turn signals

Does anybody know if switchback turnsignals are legal or not? Specifically for the front?

Either blink amber/white, solid white when not blinking or blink amber/off, solid white when not blinking.

I would expect those to be illegal.

Pretty decent, but definitely Illegal.

I think by definition, you are not allowed to have alternating lights like that on your vehicle, they give off the appearance that your an emergency vehicle.

its not verbatim, but im sure im not too far off.

yeah... that's what i was thinking too, it would end up being considered as a strobe light.

BUT. what about the ones that dont switch back n forth from amber to white when ur signalling?

i believe there are some that stay on as white and when u signal, they flash amber-off-amber-off. etc.

Thats actually pretty cool.. never heard or seen it though, from what your explaining I think youd definitely have a better chance of "legality" (so to speak) and getting away with it.

Id be willing to chance it but dont let me speak for you... once again I'm not 100% sure so I guess you can take my advice for what its worth.

Im guessing these would be them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbNYqw1FCmI

Seeing how hard it was to find the video though, I cant imagine it'd be any less harder to find the actual bulb.

damn no edit...

The new audi's w/ the strip of leds sorta does that.
When the LED's are on. if you signal, they turn off so you can better see the signaling.

You know what, thats quite true... Ive also noticed Chrysler's turn off the headlight entirely then once signaling has been completed the headlight comes back on.

So out of the two you've inquired about I'd definitely say this is the better and really cant see a reason as to why theyd be illegal.

First ones = definitely illegal
