Spoiler Lights Out

Whats up guys,

i have the stock spoiler, majority of the lights work.. there are a few that do not.

where would i go to get a new strip of lighting at the back?

yes i am aware of the obvious answers
Honda

try ebay for a universal one like this. If you search "spoiler led light" there's lots to choose from.

But your best bet is scrap yard i see tons of civics with spoilers there (it's only 3 bolts iirc) and if it doesnt work you can bring it back and try another one, the best part is its local, so no shipping and usually its oem parts.

i just took the entire stip out since its not necessary because you also have an inter 3rd light. and just paint the red part black. costs maybe 5 bucks total for paint

or you can do that

problem is since the spoiler is quite low then when someone is driving behind you, they won't see the interior brake light, light up. That's why they put the light on the spoiler.

Ideally if the spoiler is oem and was properly installed then it would have come with a wire harness that takes the connector from the interior light, so the interior 3rd light won't work.

Also to the op you should check to see if your unit can be fixed. Check to see if you have a full 12 volts going to the light, also check for bad grounds. If these don't work then check the actual circuit board, sometimes if you have a bad or corroded connection somewhere it will affect the whole stripe since it's connected in series.

If all else fails i just checked standard and a 3rd brake light is only $6. The brand new ebay light is also not bad at $25. good luck.
