Residue/Dirt on Plastic Headlights

I have a pair of 1-pc angel eyes projector headlights. After months of highway driving, I found that when you run your finger on the surface of the headlight, you will feel a lot of bumps on it (I suspect these might be corpses of flies or road dirts). And also the headlights don't look as clear anymore because of these bumps.

How do I remove these bumps from the headlights (they are not scratches, they look like they are simply glued/sticked to the headlights)?

Thanks!

hm.... maybe clay barring the surface will get rid of them?

or using goo gone if it's just tar and stuff...

but if it's still on there try the wetsanding headlights DIY that's posted in that forum..

the plast-x is really good IMO but it's only a polish... it won't remove stuff that's on the top it only sorta fills in little holes and scratches and makes it shiny...

i think plast-x is a great product i have used it with good results.

its not new headlights in bottle but its worth a try if you have oxidation on your headlights

Depends, how bad is the damage? I just wetsanded and rebuffed my friend's headlights from his 97 prelude, they came out pretty decent. I'm assuming its not that bad after jsut a few months, so try the plastic-x. If not research wetsanding.
