pm me thanks :checkered |

search is your friend...I removed mine last summer with these instructions....Mr.Hook saves the day! :D tint removal |
I asked this same question about 4 or 5 years ago on Purehonda. I was told the pros do it w/o the ammonia. Just a razor blade and some Simple Green cleaner. Same process though. Yeah, ammonia does attack the glue, that's why you are not supposed to use Windex on tinted glass.

so then how do u clean tinted windows?
|
vinegar/water solution and newspaper

There is a non ammonia based cleaner that you can use.
You can pick it up Just about anywhere. It'll say it right on the can. |
wear nosepluggs its a stinky ass job...its like opening up a festering scabb :D
|
Yeah, I've removed it on one of my old cars too, a pharmacist at my work gave me a solution with a high % of ammonia in it...and it worked well. And boostd is right, it's stank.

you can buy pure ammonia at any grocery store in the cleaning aisle. my way won't stink your car up, you just will have a little more work to do. but beats having a car that smells like a New York subway urinal.
water and vinegar is right for tint cleaning |
