Unhappy removing rear fender rust on my ek hatch...diy or body shop job?

Well I thought I had just minor surface rust on the rear fenders behind the rear wheels, but it turns out that the rust has gone right through and actually started on the inside of the fender. How difficult is it to cut out this piece and weld a new piece in. Or should I take it to a shop to get it welded? If so, how much do shops charge?

Thanks

I don't know how handy you are, but if I were in your situation I'd go for a body shop. There is too much work involved in fixing the rust.

message team rukus ....he'll fix you up. he did a fantastic job on my EK (though, it wasnt rusted and just needed a little love and some fresh paint)

his prices are amazingly fair, and he deals with hondas galore, so he knows whats wrong with them and how to fix em

wow you have a body shop and your not recommending to replace something thats rusted through???? just a patch job? what you gonna do fibreglass it or bondo it?

just help decide for people to stay away from your shop Lol.

IMO if you want it done right do what you think is best, and how long you want it to last. nobody can just throw a price on that job to you ,the best thing is to go get a quote cause all shops are different aswell.
