my hood rattles, its stop when i hold the hood down but it i don't it rattles. the hood lock thingy seem loose..does anyone have the seem problem?

My brother had the same problem on his 91 EF tho. Bought a new hinge and problem fixed. Maybe you have something rattling under your hood, did you check around cause you have a 01 model and i doubt that it has worn out that fast.

Wrong section and check all the bolts on the hood, including the hindge and the 4 bolts that hold it in place.

i had a friend with this problem the hood clip was REALLY loose went to a scrap yard got the part and problem fixed

the hinge seems to be loose the one that you push to open the hood...is there a way to tighten it?

When popping a hood, there are 2 sets of safeties. The lever(sp?) you pull from inside teh car, and the 2nd safety at the hood latch... where is yours 'loose'
