quick question, 96 civic ek coupe

I seen people go as high as 18s but that will affect your ride quality
Personally I wouldnt go higher than 16s. I thik 16s is the max people should go on civics
Also keep in mind that bigger the size the more expensive the tires are going to be
Most people here are running on 16s , 17s and some even on 15s

It should fit... just to give you a rough idea .
This is what i m running
falcons 205-45 r 16s
keep in mind my car is a little bit lower. I dont think i could fit 17s in mine to be honest but that is because it is a little bit lower.
I still have enough clearance but not a whole lot
To be honest , I would just go with 16s , not too mention that the tires will be more expensive if you decide to go 17
but it is up to you
Keep checking the thread as i m sure other members can give you a better opinion on running 17s
I can only tell you my experience with 16s
good luck

I also forgot you could just call one of our vendors to find out if 17s will fit (ride quality , etc)
I called tires 23 and they were pretty helpfull ( they know their stuff)
tires and wheels specialist

I wouldn't go with 17s. Imo optimal size is 15x7. You get a wide enough traction patch for handling and you do not loose too much in acceleration. 17s will be heavier than 15s which will be harder to turn. Also most likely will be taller unless you run 15s with tall profile tires. From my experience I can confidently say, smaller wheels = better acceleration but that can be proven through physics. Anyways, if you are going just for looks, then sure 17s will fit fine, but just as a warning, you will feel that the car is more slugish and slower with bigger wheels.
