Questions related to tires....
wat range of specs of tires fits.. say an 15" rims...??
and.... eg. 195/55/15... wat does the 1st and 2nd number represent... well.. I know wat they r.... but r they important???
like does any specs of the 1st and 2nd numbers with the 15" fits a 15" rim?????
Oh.. Also.... I got a cluster shows only the speed in the middle..
gas on the right.. and water temp on the left... with no rpm...
can I change to a cluster with the rpm metre... and like totally different setup???

195/55/15 is a metric tire... 195 mm of tread width, 55% of 195 is the sidewall height, and 15 is the rim size. Before you buy, be sure to ask here....or PM me.
If you want a wider tire, you'd do 205/50/15 so you get an extra 10mm of tread, but you have to shave 5% off of the aspect ratio to keep the overall tire package the same rolling diameter.
As for the cluster, I had no tach in my 98, so I bought a 00 Si tach and plugged it in, and works just like the old one.

this will help you determine wheel size so that you can maintain the same diameter

thankz guyz.. these r pretty useful info for me...
so it's pretty much impossible to get exactly the same diameter when u get a set of tires with different specs... isnt it???
is with in like 2 or 3 km/h difference from the stock tires good enough??

[AZN] you can definitely get under 0.5% difference in size with any honda car from a 13" to a 17" rim, no prob. You'll never know the difference from the change in size cuz it's so small.
Smaller diameter, faster acceleration and lower top speed.
Bigger diameter, slower acceleration and higher top speed (assuming you have power to overcome the aerodynamic drag)
Any 1996-2000 Civic cluster will plug right into the DX harness and work right. I did a Si to LX no prob. I hear that the 1.6EL fits too and it lights up amber

New cluster, unless you decide to go through the trouble of swapping odos, but even then you run a risk. If you want to, the dealer can swap the cluster legally, or just wait for one to come up that's pretty close to what you'd like to have/or what you have on the car. I'd consider 5000kms pretty close and would not bother doing anything else. Mine is showing 14000 kms more than I actually have on the car, but...who cares, I'm never selling the car.
