Protecting your new paint job or exterior in general

Saw this advertised in Import Tuner (I think) and someone posted it on another site I visit. I would definately get this if I got a new paint job or a new car. Check it out. And they're even having a sale for the '96-98 civic

Is that the 3m stuff? clear goes over your paint

sjwong 30-Jan-2003 04:18 PM

What does it do?

That's not the 3M stuff. I'm interested in the 3M stuff, might put it on my car once I get my paint job.

The product looks good but I've haven't heard of it. So....my friend tried this no name stuff on his black Jetta VR6 about a year ago. Now it looks like **** and regreats it.

"StonGard Paint Protection Film is made from a super-tough 3M urethane film that has been developed solely for the purpose of protecting the painted surfaces of automobiles. As you can see in the photo, it’s tough stuff. It takes a substantial amount of force to push a key through the film so imagine how well it will protect your car. "

Protect your car's finish against the chips, nicks and scratches that can take a toll on its beautiful finish. And its value.

Shield your car with StonGard, the incredibly tough, clear urethane film that's pre-cut to fit your car perfectly. Depending on the make and model of your car, your complete StonGard kit will contain protection for your car's:
Hood
Fenders
Fender flares
Grill
Bumper
Mirrors
Door edges
Door handle cups
