Projectors are very dim

I've got angel eye dual halo projectors on a 92 dx. I've messed with the aiming screws to mess around with it, but there is really no cutoff no matter what I do and the light is extremely dim when I compare it to other basic halogen headlights on other cars. I doubt it would be the bulbs... the projectors are glass and they are clean. Highbeams work great. If anyone can shoot some suggestions that'd be great. Thanks.

5th gen lighting is dim on stock headlights...maybe some higher wattage bulbs would help

what make are the projectors ?

i had a set of one piece from pacific mall and i had $h!T light quality out of them

most projectors = even worse output than stock. the only good projector out there that i've seen is the TYC 1 piece projectors. my suggestion would be to throw them out and buy a pair of TYC 1 piece. they have a very nice cut off and look really nice in black housing.

agreed the only amazing set that i have seen for a 92-95 civic is the tyc set which i have seen give out amazing light so much better than oem headlights

No idea what kind they are, but they aren't 1 piece. I'm considering an HID kit, but I'm scared that they may downplay the kit. *shrug* Thanks for the help guys.

lol the hids wont make you beam pattern any better. it will just make the beam more concentrated on the already small beams. use the money and buy better headlights. you don't even need projectors man. i'm using tyc clear lense reflectors.

i have angeleyes on my car and i don't have a problem with the beam... seems pretty good to me.. i have extreme white bulbs on them too so that may make a bit more of a difference...

It's not so much that the surface is small that the light covers, it's just that it's not bright at all. I have to look really hard to even tell my lights are on. But if I park it somewhere dark or am driving down an unlit road, they cover enough. I think I will try different bulbs as there are blueish bulbs in them now. I'll have to find the extreme white ones.

well its not like you really need headlights ... lol...

for city driving in my opinion head lights are used more so that other people can see you coming and going... the streets are so lit up that it doesn't even matter...

highway driving you will need them a bit more especialy when there aren't others around....

and when your going into the middle of nowhere and its darker then my ******* you'll definity need great lighting...

i found that my highbeams on my projectors are also crap.. they don't even point the right way its retarded..... but i also have fog lights with extreme whites in them so if im ever pulling a mission to a buds cottage i can see great on those dark roads.. but for city driving i don't worry much about my lighting cause i could see just fine even with the lights off.. like i said i just need them on so others can see me coming and going..
