Projectors and HIDS clarification
Trying to understand something.
So projectors that come from, lets say a BIMMER or TSX's, come with HIDS. So if I were to retrofit Projectors, can I use plug n play HIDS or the bulbs that come with these BIMMER/TSX projectors?

not really. you need a plug that connects to that bulb which is different than regular HID aftermarket bulbs. i'm using D2S bulbs, which have one single prong on the back of them instead of the 2 or 3 you see on other bulbs. the connector plugs in to that prong which you then turn the connector to lock it.
there are aftermarket kits that will match up to your harness. the one i'm using has a harness that connects to my 9006 harness which goes to the ballast and then from the ballast it has a harness to connect to the bulb.
you want to make sure the bulbs you're using will work for the projector housing as there are different HID projector bulbs out there and they arent cheap. you also want to make sure, say you have TSX projectors, you dont get the wrong HID bulb. some bulbs are meant to be in a reflector housing and some are meant to be in a projector housing.
