Projector headlights
#2
if they are anything like the 5th gen the plugs from your stock headlights just plug right into the new projector housing...thats it.
The big confusing wiring harness you have is to run both bulbs (low and high beams) at the same time...for show purposes... but is not practical on the street.
So just take a new headlight and see if the plug fits.

Housing has got nothing to do with it..... it's just a housing.
The reflectors are still chrome.
The reason why they are not bright is because they use H3 bulbs, which don't put out nearly as much light as stock H4 bulbs do. Secondly, there are no reflectors on the low beam to back up the lenses, so 50% of light is lost anyway...........
If you took one apart and saw how simple it was, you'd understand.

The ones employeed by BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, etc use H7 based headlamp units (non-HID ones), which put out more light than H4s. Also they are much more intricate than ricey brands and actually utilize every light particle.
Audi TT, Honda S2000 and other cars use black housing by the way, and they are bright as hell. Even without HID.
