are the tinted licence plate covers illegal?
u know...the greyed out ones....
i never thoguht they were...
but i went to court recently (...speeding. gay.)
andthere was a guy there who i think was trying to argue the legality of his plate covers
but i cant remember wha his were like....mayeb trhey had text on it or somthing.....
can omeone help?

Ive heard they are...but its always left to the discrimination of the cop...Ive had both my plates covered with smoked lenses for a few years now... i guess its sort of the same idea as window tint darkness...

I've had the "smoked" plate covers for a couple years now and have had absolutely no problems with cops. Didn't they even used to sell these things at the Ministry of Transportation offices (where you go to get your license and stuff)??? I swear that I've seen them there before, but maybe they were just normal clear plate covers...
I think that it's really up to the police officer and if they're having a bad day or whatnot.
