Painting at home with compressor and spray gun?

does it come out okay? i mean,
set up a paintbooth in a garage, and
buy paint, clearcoat and shoot it?

lol... i'm so cheap ain't i...
Well... or if you know any good bang for buck paintshop let me know.
I've got all the body work done, all the guy has to do is mask, and spray

as long as everything is prepped, he has a good gun...good compressor and his entire garage is dust free/masked then it should turn out just fine. Just give it proper time to dry

x 2 on the PPG
but truthfully the difference in paint brand isn't noticable for a while (as the years go on)

i worked in a body shop awhile back, we painted outside the booth all the time...

biggest thing... VENTALATION!!!!
sure sure that the overspray doesn't settle right back on the car, otherwise u'll have to sand again

I have had good experience with PPG, but a lot of body shops say Dupont is just as good. if a gallon of paint is about $100, i think thats pretty cheap, i have to get my hood, front and rear bumper and 2 fenders painted, i think i willl supply body shop with the paint.
