Paint Fading?

Paint Fading?
I've got a 2002 black si. Lately noticed that even after I washed the car in my driveway, seems like the paint is faded, the car looks navy blue. Thought it was just me, but even my gf noticed. So, is there anything I can do to restore it to a nice shiny black, any product etc, short of repainting the car? Thanks.

its probably not faded, its probably has so many light scratches that it looks lighter (faded). ya i guess try the mothers, they seen to have a sweet product line. i would like to say meguires but the only thing i like of theres is tire shine Lol.

I would recommend claying than the Mothers 3 step system - Cleaner, Polish, Wax. It brings out a nice deep shine but if you want to give the paint that "wet" look than I prefer Mother FX synthetic wax - BTW I have a black car as well and this stuff worked amazing!!
The steps I use:
Clay
Prewax cleaner
FX wax
Maintain the freshly waxed look with Mothers FX spray after every wash - apply wax every 8-12 weeks but its up to you.
If you go to the Mother's site they have a "wax forum" with tons of great info - good luck!!

Hey guys
A wax will do absolutely nothing to help with your problem.
You most likely have bonded contaminants on your paint... it may also be oxidation (Honda paint is very soft, and is quite prone to oxidation if not routinely taken care of).
Please post up some pics and we will be in a better position to help you, as your description of the problem could mean any number of things!
The good news is that provided your clearcoat has not been compromised, whatever your problem is... it should be fixable.
Edit - AND I Just realized that buddy bumped a 2 month old thread lol... probably won't even see these posts, but oh well.
