New clear corners... fuse keeps blowing out.

long time lurker around on the forums, first time post.

i recently put in new clear corners lights on my car and i thought everything went well with the installation until i started the car up to go home...

start up the car and turn on the lights for the instrument panel and etc, but then both the turning signs turn on... also when i went to go make a turn with the turning signal on, the whole instrument panel started flickering in sync with the signals :-( and both the turning signals turn on like the hazard lights :-\

first place i went to was to check the fuses and it turned out the insturment panel fuses blew. so i fixed that by using the spare fuse that was in the box, tried it again, and few minutes later the same fuse blew again...

everything was running fine before i installed the new corners...

any ideas?

not exactly sure but dont some bulbs draw more wattage than the stock ones?
try putting a stock one back in and see what happens?

yup, it was the bulbs :-x

the new ones weren't dual filiment(sp) so more power was going thru the single filiment ones from the aftermarket bulbs.

thanks for the tips.

now it's just clear lights from the stock instead of the amber ones that came with the kit, theres no prob with that right?

you're gonna want your turn signals to be some sort of orange colour or you might run into a ticket
