New 17"s
Well The Rims i wanted I got, 17x7 Konig Verdicts... no rubber yet
Just the rims for now as in spring the rubber will be cheaper, and hey no rush its winter and snow out n e way... 17"s arn't for everyone i know, but not going for pure performance, if i was i woullda got 15's... so yeah... Konigs website pic doesn't do the rim justice, they look good, but better in eperson... i got them in the opal finish, its like a hyper black / gunmetal / silver... http://img32.exs.cx/img32/9535/verdict8so.jpg Got them home, i checked them out b4 i left the performance shop, i got them for a great deal, brand new... and yah yeah, they've bin out for a while, but oh well no one heres got em,or i don see them on rides in durham... http://img32.exs.cx/img32/3461/rimsboxed13lo.jpg Very Nice... well in the closet they go till sping, when i get the tires and mount them... http://img32.exs.cx/img32/6637/rimsboxed22ro.jpg i'll be driving with them with stock suspen. for the first season, then probably get lowering springs next year... as a daily driver what drop should i get considering i drive it in winter time on my 13" steelies, their is maybe 1/2 inch diff in overall diameter between these w/t rubber and my steelies w/t rubber... suggestions / comments? |
my suggestion would be drop it before you put the rims on... get some eibach sportlines and some koni shocks and then save up for rubber for the rims... you will thank me later :)
looks much nicer to have a lowered car on stock wheels than a 4x4 on 17"s |

get the omni power ones from what i hear they aint too bad for the buck. the problem with the eibach and koni setup is that it will cost you more then the omni power and you dont have a full coilover system.

Congrat on the new toy. It is gonna be such a drag to have new parts sitting at home while you look at them everyday. I have been looking at my suspensions daily since last August.
Oh lord... it is killing me. |

What do you mean your car is factory lowered 1"???
For most people lowering a car is more to reduce the wheel gap than to have it lower to the ground (although this creates better handling, we're talking for cosmetic reasons here). Your 13" rims may make your car sit lower, but would actually increase the wheel gap if this is the case. Anyways, find a way to lower you car as soon as you can. You'll be much happier with the results. |

I used to have those rims liked them too in person and not in the book. Since the top of the rim juts out past the rim you have to be really carefull around curbs. The ex killed mine in a parking lot.

i would get a coilover setup so you can adjust the height for your preference. Springs and shocks are nice but coilovers rule:P. I have progress full coilovers on my car and the ride is pretty tame compared to some other setups with higher spring rates.
Nice rims btw, i remember like a couple years ago i was interested in getting those but i held off on rims at that time. |
its true though, i saw them online and din even notice them cause i din like the pic of them, then went to the shop and they had em there, and i was like those are nice... so i got em, dirt cheap n e how... bin out for a while but still good, and hell i don see em much on rides. but true about the curb rash, they doo stick out past the rim... i was thinking about a coilover system but don't want to spend alot of money, and i heard the ride is udsually bad on them...

Wud Up
Yo wht do sayin about sellin tht to me??????
If no then yo, u think u can hook me up with 1. |
I paid $1150 for my full setup which i think is pretty good compared to paying $800 for koni yellows and then another $200 for springs. If anything you could grab some coilover sleevse and koni reds
|
Looks good! Can't wait to see them installed.
