Need help painting Brake roters

yo i want to paint my brakes today, i bought some armor coat paint from canadian tire, and i plan on putting on like 3 coats, but did i get the right paint? is there any prep work besides using an iron brush to get rid of some rust and asbestos?

Yes wear a dust mask..

You don't want that **** in you lungs..

Make sure you mask everyhting that you DONT WANT to paint with newspaper.

Nice and easy does the trick..

Several light coats instead of two heavy coats.

Meguiars EXTRA degreaser makes good work of the dust in your caliper.

Don't forget the mask..

for brake dust..

15 - 20 minutes between coats.

Any more and it will be runny.

thanks a lot for your advice, and while i was cleaning my drums, i adjusted them, hopefully my brakes won't be as mushy anymore.

i want to wait like 2 hours before i put my tires on, i know i should wait 24 hours, but i got to go to work at 5....

now all i need are some rims.....

Are you sure you want to paint your ROTORS? do you mean calipers? I'm sure you don't really mean rotors but beleive me...I have heard of dumber ideas so I thought I would just confirm.

no, i didn't do my roters, i did the rear drum covers, and the callipers on the front. i am happy with the job i did, i only spent like 5 bucks on a brush and on a small can of armor coat paint from CT. honestly there is enough paint to do 3 cars. so for the price i paid, and the 3 hours i spent, i am happy. but i can barely see them behind my wheel covers. SOME ONE HOOK ME UP WITH USED CIVIC RIMS PLEASE!!!!

Yo Sam, what color did you paint them.

I have to do a brake job sometime this weekend and am going to paint 'rotors' (hehehe) too?

Did you use a decent color or something...um....

After reading this I've decided to do my capilers and drums when I do my springs next week. I'm going to paint them blue to go along with my car
