long scratch on my dads civic!
Just discovered a deep long scratch (metal showing) on my dads 07 civic this morning. it starts from the rear lower wheel well and extends to the rear door. winter is coming, rust will be a problem & my dad needs the car everyday. I'm wondering do paint shops do spot 1 day painting (painting only the scratched areas) or do they have to re-paint the whole door which might take a day or 2 or more?
any experience and advice on these things is welcome
thanks

Ask a paint shop, seriously.
What are you going to do..
paint shop, 'we do the whole panel repairs only...';
You.. '... but guys on tcc said you would just do the scratch in a day...'
A reputable shop will paint the whole panel, even , nice, professional job.
You can use a paint pen and dab in teh paint with a toothpick, let it dry, wet sand till smooth, buff, seal and then polish.
Just my two cents.
But call around, call paint shops, they would know better what they do.
