Remember..
If you already have power mirrors you need to pull 2 22/20 AWG wires to the door. If you don't you need 5 to each door. Make sure the wires terminate at the drivers footwell with about 4 feet of extra wire to make it to the switch.. Do yourself a favour and make sure you get a oem relay.. I have seen one homemade radioshack special melt already. Depending on your vehicle your parts should look something like below.. |

Or the optional heated ones...
My fave.. |
Make sure that the mirrors are in good condition with no broken parts.
All of the mirrors internals are common only with JDM vehicles. So if you break something you will need to source the replacement from a JDM importer.. |
Did you do this swap?
Your hardcore with the JDMness eh. |
thank you oh wise one!

It is 2 extra wires in series for the heated option.
I have pics of my relay and harness somewheres.. :checkered |
um...what im really asking, i guess, is how is it 'heated'? air? electrical? like i said in my previous post i know that heated mirrors have like a lil vent in the side panels for AIR to heat it but not sure how this one works
|
Its a element behind the glass...
The subharness connects to the 7.5 defroster circuit.. I beleive if you have the defrost switch you can retrofit a CT set to them if patient.. The wiring takes under two hours if you know your way around the cars. Door harness wiring is the pain here and most time consuming... :listen: |

many thanks go out to you, the all knowing jdm yoda. questions: did u have to switch the lens around since they are originally for RHD? how's the visibility? (if u didn't) |
What's the price for something like this?
Do they have them for 6th gen coupes? |
Actually you need to switch the mirror bases with the manual USDM equivalent.
Here is another thread on H-T that I participated in that should answer all of those questions.. I would imagine JDM teg mirrors would suffer an increased blindspot as well unless converted. I have never done a teg set so I dunno for sure. [window]www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=667245[/window] |
gotdammit. 94-up integras were never available w/ manual adjusting mirrors.
|
Take apart your existing ones and see if the bases swap over?

The passenger side (aka JDM driver's side) no, but the other side, yes. It will give you a headache if you don't. The glass from the pasenger side JDM mirror, is curved like the passenger side of a USDM Civic. You get a wide angle view if you leave the driver's side alone.......which can really fuqk you up when you are swithching lanes, or trying to back into a parking spot. |
