I'm thinking of ordering....
new headlight bulbs from powerbulbs.com i've heard good things about them but now i want to know what kind of bulb is the best. I'm looking for a bright white light with absolutley NO yellow, and still keeping alot of light on the road. I've heard good things about both Philips and Osram, now i want to know what you guys think, i did a search and all the threads that have been started about bulbs haven't ever really reached a decision cuz too many things have been thrown out there.....
pics or anything else like that would be great cuz i need to order these ASAP, thanks!!

I have Sylvania Silverstars from Germany, they don't look all ghay and blue, just pure white... I know you are not a ricer Alex, so I think you'll be happy with the whiteness and brightness of these bulbs.

how do they compare to osram silverstars bruno? same deal or what, cuz the sylvania silverstars around here cost like $85 dollars... lol i'm looking for cheaper if anything....
powerbulbs.com sells the osram silverstars for like 50 bucks a pair.... as opposed to 70 or 85 i've seen here somewhere....

i think ordering them from powerbulbs.com is cheaper and free shipping too.
do those osram silverstars have a very light tint of blue on the glass or just clear like oem ones?
i have those sylvania silverstars and there's a light tint of blue.....just wondering if those osram's are the same.

Alex, I referred James to powerbulbs.com and I'll do the same for you.
I suggest you order the OSRAM Silverstars (not the Sylvania ones from North America) or the Philips VisionPlus (my father and I both use those). Your light will be "whiter" than the stock bulbs, but don't expect anything close to HID colour. What these bulbs have is the most refined manufacturing processes available to halogen automotive lighting resulting in better light.
What you will be getting is more light on the road, a distinct cutoff, and more light down the road. Also, they don't burn out quickly like PIAA bulbs.

bruno ---> the green light tickets were for my fogs... which i found out at the show and shine and james' house are full bulbs that have green in them somewhere, so i can't just change a lense or something.... and i don't know if glass paint would withstand the heat of a fog lamp?
ryan ---> I was hoping you'd see this, so is there no really quality compromise between bright white light and light on the road? unless you go HID? i thought my piaa's were bright, i'll bring the one bulb on friday, so i can compare it against the osram silverstar for both whiteness and distance... i just want it to look clean, i have my stock bulbs back in now and they're gross, nasty yellow.... *ugh

Ya, I know about the fogs... it was just a reference to not getting blue or rainbow bulbs. Wanna get some OEM fogs? I got some a few weeks back, they look great. Look at my pics in the Chit-Chat forum... thead called "Been a while since..."
