aslong as u add a type of flex agent to the paint when u paint the bumpers u shuld be fine.
as for the mouldings u wil need a grinder, sheetmetal, spot welder etc... and its not too hard but u will need welding experience or u will warp n burn thru the metal.

could i use pop rivets instead of a spot welder? i have a stick welder but im not convinced i should weld my body.
is there like a pre mixed paint i can buy or what do i have to buy to add it to my paint to add the fix agent?
thanks man

you have to buy a can of flex additive, and do the mixture yourself (add it to your paint)...dont be shy with it either it should come with mixture ratio instructions...
Im assuming here, but wouldnt pop rivits leave too many imperfections in the surface? would be too many bumps to cover..??

I'm not sure it's a good idea to weld aluminum to mild steel ( body panel material ). The dissimilar metal might promote rusting, and i'm not if you can MIG weld aluminum...
Can anyone confirm?

FYI, all the body panels are made of mild steel. Thats why there's a thick layer of primer to seal the metal from water.
Let's hope someone can answer this question!!

You might wanna read some posts on google newsgroup.
I did a quick check.
From what I gather, it you can't directly MIG weld the galvanized steel. You've got to remove the zinc coating from the galvanized steel in the areas that need to be welded with some store bought acid.
Also, there may be some harmful fumes when the welder comes in contact with the zinc coating.
