How I removed the rice stickers/decals

I thought I'd share a tip with everyone.

My Civic came with a rice sticker (not 'P-Tech', thank God) plastered across the windshield. I had to remove it as it was giving me more performance than I could handle.

Here's what I did, which took me no time at all.

I bought a paint scraper from a dollar store, the one that uses replaceable x-acto knife style blades. It doesn't scrape and slides nicely under the decal to remove it.

To remove the remaining sticky bits left over, I mostly used an SOS pad with some water. I occassionally used the scraper on larger sticky areas, and pushed at different angles to get rid of them.

hair drier will will make it fall right off with your fingers...or blast it with a pressure washer... then use bumper sticker remover to finish it off, then clean with glass cleaner....thats what i did, worked nice and easy

With a SHARP razor, you don't need a hairdryer..........trust me.

If you use heat, the glue on the sticker will become soft, then it will stick to the razor even more.....then you'd have to keep clean the blade.........(pain in the *** imo).

No need to use heat.

Anyone remember the flowers on my car and how long it took me to take the stickers off...hehe!

All I used was goo gone, no exacto knife but a toothpick to get at the corners and not scratch my paint.

Working outside in the afternoon easily replaces the hair dryer process for me. I like the Goo Gone suggestion - I guess it's at CT? I got some goo problems seeping up from my power windows.

It took me 7hrs to remove them - individually one at a time.

Shinzo did an amazing job though putting them on - he's the best!

Yeah, Bruno for a daily driver it was too flashy - I'll try sumthin' different next show...LOL!

Here's how my car looks now:

Still liked it better with the flowers.

Next time ask Mike to use the low tack 3M stickers.......if you plan to remove them later, this type of sticker is MUCH easier to take off.

It costs a bit more I believe, but it will save you time and agravation later.
