How do I fix "paint runs/drips" ?

hey guys, I got some parts painted- lip etc and I notice there are runs here and there that I want to take care of before mounting, any ideas on how to fix it without getting it resprayed?

personally I think you need it resprayed, sadly that also means youve got to sand and re-prime.

they arenot severe at all, just SLIGHTLY noticeable to the perfectionist I am, can I just wetsand the area? with like 2000 grit?

rubbing compound works buddy! works for overspray...need lots of elbow grease but it works!

ya, if your going rubbing compound route... it will take some elbow grease, if you want to wet sand i suggest a lesser grit, maybe 1200 (lightly) whichever route you take you'll have to clearcoat over it.

Considering it is a lip, it probably isn't base/clear. More than likely it's acrylic enamel. Just wet sand and finish it off with rubbing compound to bring the shine back.

rubbing compound takes away shine

Not Perfect-it II Paste Rubbing Compound by 3M. We use it on all of the vehicles we have here at work after wet sanding to bring the shine right back. It works great for minor scratches as well!
